I gave you some hints last time about where I was going with my laundry room makeover. Well I’m happy to say it’s done!
As you might recall, the laundry “room” was overwhelmed by cabinetry and just really boring. I knew if I could make the space more beautiful and functional I would be inspired to become a laundry goddess! (yeah, right!)
As you can see those cabinets are gone, baby! I kept the countertop so that I will have plenty of space to pile up fold the clean laundry right out of the dryer. Removing the lower cabs made it possible to store all the laundry baskets under the countertop and get them out of the bedrooms. I replaced the upper cabinets with some “Lazy Girl” DIY cafe shelves and colorful baskets. A little fabric, Behr Silver Mist paint on the walls and some art finish it off.
Can you believe these shelves are from Ikea?
Each laundry basket is clearly labeled with chalkboard vinyl.
Wall art made from embroidery hoops and fabric remnants. I love how the birds bring in the yellow accent color!
The crux of the whole laundry situation – it never, NEVER ends!
I’ve got a bit of a laundry backlog since the room was torn apart for a few days. But I’m hoping, praying that my new laundry room will streamline the whole process.
Have you given your laundry room a makeover? How do you stay on top of the laundry monster?
