Today I am so excited to reveal the Sweet Clover office makeover! Cassie and I desperately needed a functional and comfortable workspace at the barn so we were very excited when Staples approached us to collaborate.
We decided to create an office in the storage room above the cottage behind the barn. Cassie described it accurately as a white box full of dead stink bugs. Here it is after we cleaned up!

As you can see we were working with a pretty blank canvas. Our vision was to create an office that incorporated both vintage and new pieces as well as a bit of DIY in a black, white and gold color scheme.
When you think of Staples office supplies your mind might wander to thoughts of color coded binders and executive office chairs. But Staples actually has a stylish selection of furniture and accessories to choose from online. Staples was the source of the luxe touches that we used to give our vintage pieces a modern edge. And they also provided the caffeine – Sweet Clover runs on coffee!
We selected stylish ghost chairs for our desk seating as well as pair of modern, geometric table lamps for the credenza and of course a Keurig coffee maker.
When you open the door here’s the space you are now greeted with! It’s a calm, modern place for us to relax and maybe get some work done too!
Near the desk we conveniently stationed the Keurig on a vintage bar cart.
To the right when you enter is this cozy seating area and the most glamorous office credenza you have ever seen.
Cassie refinished this piece and we just love the gold detail!
The geometric black table lamps are a cool foil to the rustic wood bowl.
How crazy cool is this vintage bamboo shelf Cassie picked up at Lucketts?
Across from the credenza we placed a pair of chunky glass vintage shelves. Those babies are heavy and had to be brought up piece by piece and assembled in the office but it was totally worth it! They display accessories and artwork we pulled from the barn and our personal stashes.
You may notice a few brass unicorns…a little inside joke from the early days of our partnership.
Remember: Be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn..then always be a unicorn.

Now we are ready to get some work done! I feel excited that we have a well designed space that shows our personality and design style. It’s an office that we can feel proud to invite potential vendors into to discuss business. And it’s a comfortable space with stylish storage for our business essentials and important documents.
