Here we are on day 4 of Before and After week and I am just a teensy bit proud of myself for posting for four straight days in a row! I hope you are enjoying all the furniture makeovers in the series.
Today I have a bed and chest set that I made over for the Lucketts fair waaaay back in May. In this makeover I used paint to unify the two pieces into a beach-y bedroom set. Here are the before shots.
In the before the chest was painted a shiny seafoam green.
The vintage bed had clean lines and sturdy, wood hook-on rails.
Both pieces were painted with homemade chalk paint using baby blue oops paint. Then the bed got varying size stripes across the headboard and footboard and a bit of distressing for a weathered, coastal look.
The chest drawers were painted white with brushed nickel hardware. I also stripped the top of the chest and stained it with Minwax Golden Pecan.
The warm, refinished top is my favorite part!
And here’s the pair together at Lucketts!
